Games - TF2 Demoman (5/10)

Hi everybody,

Today I am doing my fifth Team Fortress 2 post on the drunk demoman. The demoman excels at defense and is excellent for area denial (eg. defending a control point) and for mid-range and melee combat. The demoman also deals massive amounts of splash damage taking out groups of enemies along with single enemies. Also the demoman can bounce his grenades of walls to kill enemies and the demoman is the 'sentry-killer'. With the demoman's all powerful sticky bomb launcher he can defend a control point while doing other things and then he can detonate his stickies when an enemy comes on the point dealing huge damage.
Also the demoman has some of the most powerful melee items in the game. Also there is a 'sub-class' called the demoknight. This uses melee weapons to attack people instead of explosives.

A good strategy for being a good demoman is to put your sticky bombs onto walls and ceilings in narrow corridors or in control point rooms. If it is too dangerous to go close press and hold left click and your sticky will go further. Also to reach unreachable heights the demoman can 'sticky-jump' when you place a bomb under your feet and then detonate it.

A brief description of the demoman:
The Demoman is a black, one-eyed scotsman who drinks heavily and comes from Ulapool, Scotland. He is voiced by Gary Shwartz and is armed with a grenade laucher, sticky bomb launcher and a bottle.

Weapons:

Primary:

This is the default grenade launcher. It's base damage for getting a direct hit is 95-105 depending on range and crit is 270-330. After the bounce the damage is considerably less dealing only 22-64 for base and 190 for crit.

This is the loch-n-load. This weapon only deals damage when it has direct contact with an enemy. Unfortunately this weapon only has 2 shots loaded so you need to aim it properly. But when you direct hit this weapon does a ton of damage eliminating almost every class with 2 direct hits. This weapon does 105-120 damage base and it's crit damage is 342-388.

This is the Ali Baba's Wee Booties. This item gives you 25 extra health but takes away your primary slot. Also this item allows you to turn while charging by 100%. A skin of this weapon is the bootlegger.
This is the Loose Cannon. This weapon has cannonballs instead of grenades. You can hold down the primary fire button and choose where you want to make the cannonballs explode. If you hit someone with the cannonball it knocks them back and does a little damage. If you get lucky and hit the enemy with the ball and make it explode within half-a-second then it will show up as a thing called 'double donk' which does mini-crit damage.

Secondary:
This is the stock secondary weapon for the demoman. It is the sticky launcher and it is very good for defending a control point or payload cart of spawn-camping people. You can put up to 8 shots on the ground or on the ceiling and walls and detonating dealing 103-138 as base damage and 353 damage as critical damage. These bombs cannot be stuck onto people.

This is the chargin' targe. This item allows you to charge at people super fast and depending on the distance give you mini-crit or critical damage. If you crash into someone this item does around 50 damage. Also you 50% less fire damage and are immune to afterburn and you take 40% less explosive damage but not against yourself.

This weapon here is the scottish resistance. I think this weapon is pretty wierd and not useful but it can be good in some circumstances. This weapon can destroy enemy stickies and you can lay up to 14 sticky bombs and select which ones you want to destroy. Also this weapon has 25% extra firing speed and has 12 more ammo carried. Unfortunately this weapon takes 0.8 seconds longer to prime.

This is the sticky jumper. Like the rocket jumper you do not take damage or deal damage with this weapon. It allows you to sticky jump.

This is the splendid screen. Like the chargin' targe this weapon allows you to charge but guarantees a critical hit wherever you are in the charge. Also this weapon does more shield damage doing around 80 and adds 20% fire resistance, 15% explosive ~resistance not to yourself~ and it has an ability to deal damage wherever you are in the charge.

Melee:

The bottle is the demoman's stock melee weapon. This weapon does 65 damage as its base and 195 as its critical. It's skin are Scottish handshake, frying pan, conscientious objector, freedom staff, bat outta hell, memory maker, ham shank and the saxxy.

This is the eyelander. This weapon gives you -25 max health for starters but each time you kill someone or get a head then you will gain movement speed (7.5% increase) + bonus health (15 health). Also this weapon has no random critical hits. Skins of the eyelander are the horseless headless horsemann's headtaker and the nessies nine iron.

The pain train allows you to cap the point or push the cart 2x faster but it increases your bullet damage vulnerability by 10%. Use this at the last point for the payload cart or capture point.
This is the scotsman's  skullcutter. This weapon reduces your movement speed but gives a 20% extra damage bonus doing 78 for base and 234 for crit.
This is the claidheamh mor. When you charge this increases your charge time duration but decreases your health. Use this only with the chargin' targe or the splendid screen.

The Ullapool caber is a bomb on a stick. When you come in contact with something (not friendly people or buildings) the bomb will explode and smash you up in the air doing about  150 damage to the enemy.
This is the half-zatoichi. When you kill someone with this weapon no matter what health you are on you will return to 100% health. Also when someone actively wielding this weapon you can kill them in one shot with this weapon and vice-versa. Once you draw this weapon you cannot sheath it until you have killed someone with it.

This is the persian persuader. This weapon allows the recharge time to recharge 100% faster and has a 37% longer melee range. This weapon has no random critical hits and all ammo collected turns into health.

Thank you all for reading I do appreciate it. If you have any suggestions for games leave it in the comments.

Product Review - Samsung Galaxy S4

 Information from: Geeky Gadgets
Hey Guys,
So this is the first 'product review' for this blog and we are going to review the Samsung Galaxy S4. A lot of people say this is very similar to the S3 and they might be right but in my opinion Samsung is trying to make the phone simple and easy to use like the S3 but, tweak everything a little as to not make it uncomfortable, just more advanced and better.

Some of the popular features on the S4 are:

Weather. This is provided by AccuWeather.com and can be a little wierd at times because it sometimes does not update but when you go on the front page it has a certain kind of animation for the different days.

Photo Story. Photo story is a album kind of thing. You take pictures with the camera and then you can create a kind of album with it. Also the app gives you suggestions like if you take a certain amount of photos in a day it will give you a suggestion to put those photos in an album.

S Health. The S Health app provides you with a lot of information. The App has a lot of features like Walking mate which measures how many steps you take, Excercise mate where you enter how much you have done per day and it will tell you how much you have burnt in kcal.

Also the S4 has the Google Play store which has hundreds of apps to make your phone better. Unlike the app store the google store has more content for free but unfortunately it has adds and they can be annoying and you will have to pay just to get rid of that so it has its ups and downs.

The S4 uses android operating system
Also the S4 has a lot of customisable home screen and lock screen which is great. They are stunning pictures and look absolutely amazing with the full HD 1080p. The colours are bright and vibrant and the s4 has nice graphics and loads games and other applications fairly quickly.

There is a lot of options if you want to change the settings of your phone. They are:

WiFi - Enables you to access the internet
GPS - Allows street navigation and geo location
Sound - Either have the sound to be on, vibrate or mute
Screen Rotation - Screen can be rotated horizontally or vertically
Bluetooth - Establish a wireless connection with other devices that have bluetooth over a short distance
Mobile Data - Allows you to download information over 3G network
Blocking mode - Enables you to select which notifications will be blocked or which will show up.
Power saving - Allows you to lessen the consumption of battery by decreasing screen brightness and other things
Screen mirroring - Allows you to connect to another device eg. TV and display videos or pictures on it
Multi Window - Allows you to quickly change between applications with a handy selection menu
WiFi hotspot - Allows you to share devices mobile network with other devices.
S Beam - S beam allows you to send things like videos, pictures and other devices
NFC - Use this feature to make payments and buy tickets and also collect information about products  (NFC is near field communication)
Air view - This allows you to point without touching the device to bring up information or magnify the area
Air gesture - Allows you to control functions on the phone without touching it
Driving mode - Device will read aloud content from incoming calls and other features so you can use the device without hands
Smart stay - Detects where your eyes are so the screen stays on when you are looking at it
Smart scroll - Tilt your head up or down to scroll that way. This is for when you reach the bottom of a page.
Sync - Allows for you to connect your phone to the computer and do stuff.
Flight mode - Turns of messaging and incoming calls and features such as WiFi and bluetooth
Smart pause - The S4 can detect when you are not looking at the screen and pause your video resuming when you are looking at the screen

The Samsung Galaxy S4 zoom features a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display that comes with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz processor and it also features 1.5GB of RAM. Also the screen is full HD 1080p AMOLED.

I am pretty sure that this phone has more raw computing power then an average laptop but for all apple fans... We all still have to wait for apple's new thing but anyway

Games - Min Hero : Tower of Sages

Hey Everybody,

Today I will be reviewing Min-Hero Tower of Sages. This is a fun game and it is kind of like pokemon because you have to collect pets and train them up but the objectives are different.

So the guy here on the left is the grand sage and the person who is in green is you. So your objective is to defeat the grand sage and then once you defeat him then you can train titans which are all powerful beings of destruction. You will have to journey up a tower full of sages and get a certain amount of keys from students to pass. At the top of the tower is the grand sage.

Along the way you will collect pets and go through different floors and you can level up your pets and also make them evolve into bigger, stronger and more awesomer creatures. Every few levels or so your creature will gain a skill point which you can add to a skill tree which makes your minion get stronger and become awesome.

So, staying with  the topic of creatures you can have a maximum number of 5 creatures active when you are fighting battles. Also there are certain types of creatures who have power over certain elements and, like pokemon there are weakness and resistance.

Here is the list:

Water is weak to electric, energy, grass and flying.

Grass is weak to fire, ice, dino, demon and flying.
Earth is weak to water, grass and undead.
Fire is weak to water and earth.
Electric is weak to earth and dino.
Undead is weak to plant, fire and holy.
Robot is weak to fire, electric, water, energy and dino.
Flying is weak to electric, energy and earth.
Demon is weak to water and holy.
Holy is weak to demon and normal.
Ice is weak to fire, robot, flying and titan.
Dino is weak to robot, ice, earth and titan.
Energy is weak to earth and dino.
Titan is weak to ice, demonic and titan.

Also there are certain qualities you need to learn (apparently) to defeat the grand sage. The first level you are on you are in it is the 'plant' and you learn about courage. Then you defeat Tafel the plant sage and the bonus you get is you can find random money chests.
The next stage happens to be the 'fire' stage and your special quality you need to learn is passion! Then you defeat the fire sage and the bonus you get is you can combine gems.
Then you can move on to the next level which is 'electricity' and the special power you learn there is knowledge. When you defeat the electric sage/professor then your bonus you get is you can pick a second egg in the hatchery if you don't want your first.
Then you can move on to the 'undead' part. This will test your persistance and when you defeat the undead sage you can find random gem chests.
Then you can move on to the next part which is a mix between plant and fire. This is called the 'Talo' part and it has a talo sage. This part will test your respect.
Then when you move on to the next part it is a combination on electricity and undead. In this part you learn about sanctity. You defeat the 'Daco' sage and the bonus you get is you can pick a third choice in the hatchery if you don't want your first 2. And then it is time to defeat the grand sage! And of course the big bonus for defeating the grand sage is getting the titan which is either Sobek who is a huge ferocious crocodile or Seiryu a huge dragon eel creature.

This is the hatchery where you get eggs.
Also you get stars judging by how well you do in the fight. So if you have 5 minions and none or just 1 die then you get 3 stars which is the max. If 2 or 3 minons die then you get 2 stars and if 4 minions die you get one star. If all of your minions die you forfeit the battle and you rush to heal your minions. Once you get enough stars you can buy stuff like extra health for your minions, extra speed for your character or even getting more money out of fights. Also once you get enough stars in a certain part a new level comes up where you get special minions that are rare or powerful.

Also there are 102 minions for you to train up (if you want to) and collect (again like pokemon) and they have specific stats. The stats improve your minions ability to do different things for example:

Health: gives your minion extra life
Attack: increases the damage done from your minions attacks
Energy: all attacks need energy and the more energy you have the longer you can do powerful attacks.
Healing: this only affects the minion if it can heal others and it gives the minion a bonus in healing
Speed: this will make your minion move faster and be able to take less damage from attacks

This is quite a fun game and you should go check it out for free online. If you want to suggest a game leave a comment. Also there are a lot more things like strategies and other things but it is fun to know it by yourself so thank you for reading and I hope you have a nice day :)
